CBBC - Bolt vs The Animal Kingdom
I was asked to pitch on creating animated content for a new CBBC series, for children in the range of 7 to 12 years old. Below are some the concepts and designs from that pitch. It was a great pleasure to spend my days drawing silly, fun and entertaining characters as well as continuing to develop my own style.
2nd Alternative Design
Although the designs above are what I chose to present, prior to their existence, I had been working on alternative designs. The artwork here aimed to be much more mature in theme, with a nod to both western and eastern hand drawn styles.
3rd Alternative Design
This last design concept aimed to reduce and flatten the animation into a much more basic and informative manner. Not my favourite of the three concepts, but it has some interesting qualities to it.
